Beyond 10MB: Why limit yourself to only 10MB? The ThunderPro and ThunderCachePro line of accelerators are designed for individuals who require more memory and speed out of their LC, LCII (Performa 400/405/410/430) or Color Classic. This technological breakthrough allows you to efficiently run today's most demanding and memory intensive operating systems, applications and Web authoring utilities.

How Does it Work?: Due to the memory addressing routines of the 10MB limitation, the ThunderPro and ThunderCachePro accelerators require 10MB of memory installed on the logic board and at least two 80ns or faster 1MB SIMMs installed in the SIMM slots on the accelerator board; however you can install up to 16MB on the accelerator for a total system memory of 26MB. Installing extra memory is very flexible. For example, add one pair of 1MB and one pair of 4MB SIMMS for a total of 20MB, or two pairs of 4MB SIMMS for a total of 26MB or use RAM Doubler to double your RAM up to 52MB!

System and Tools Requirements: Macintosh LC, LCII (Performa 400/405/410/430) or Color Classic with System 7.0, 7.1 or 7.5 and an optional anti-static grounding strap (available at most computer hardware stores).

Installation: Installation is easy and takes approximately fifteen minutes. Simply open the case to your computer (on the Color Classic, simply slide the logic board out of the back of the Color Classic's case) and install the accelerator into the processor direct slot (PDS) on the logic board. No software is required.
