PCI Bus 10BaseT and 10Base2 Ethernet Card

The 32-bit PCI Ethernet Adapter is a 32-bit Ethernet network interface card for all PCI-bus Macintosh models.
It combines two common types of Ethernet cabling: an RJ45 connector for shielded twisted-pair cabling (10BaseT) and a BNC coax connector for "thin" Ethernet connection (10Base2).

The PCI Advantage: Some Mac models have a PCI bus, but no Ethernet connection. The PCI Bus 10BaseT and 10Base2 Ethernet adapter allows these Mac Models to easily connect to an Ethernet network.
Some applications, such as a server of router may require more than one Ethernet connection. The PCI Bus 10BaseT and 10Base2 Ethernet adapter allows Macs working in these applications to easily connect to two Ethernet network branches.

System Requirements: See Mac model list above. System 7.1.2 to OS 8.1.

Installation: Insert the Ethernet Adapter into an empty PCI slot of your Macintosh. Connect the adapter using one of the two available network connections (RJ45 or BNC). Run the installer from the installer diskette. Re-configure the AppleTalk Control Panel.

Tool Requirements: None. However you may want to use an antistatic grounding strap (available at most computer hardware stores).

Time Requirement: About 20 minutes.
