MicroMac Technology's Performer and PerformerPro accelerator line gives you the performance and speed to efficiently run today's powerful system and sophisticated application software by upgrading your Plus, SE or Classic to a 68030 processor, the same processor that runs the Macintosh II series of computers. Either accelerator is ideal for individuals who wish to efficiently access Email capabilities over the Internet.

SE/30 Performance: The Performer accelerator features a 16MHz 68030 processor with optional 25MHz 68882 FPU for a performance gain equivalent to an SE/30.

The Ideal Compact Mac Upgrade: The Performer accelerator is an ideal upgrade for a Compact Mac user who wishes to take advantage of increased speed in word processing applications, spreadsheets and database management utilities. Currently retailing for only $49 dollars, it's a steal!

System and Tools Requirements: Macintosh Plus, SE or Classic with System 6.0.7, 7.0 or 7.1, optional anti-static grounding strap (available at most computer hardware stores) and torx screwdriver and case spreader (or medium flat-blade screwdriver) to open the computer's case.

Installation: Installation is easy and takes approximately fifteen to thirty minutes (depending upon which Macintosh model you own). Simply open your Macintosh as explained and shown in the fully illustrated Installation Manual, obtain access to the logic board (motherboard) and plug in the Performer accelerator. On the Macintosh SE the accelerator plugs into the processor direct slot (PDS) while on the Macintosh Plus and Classic the accelerator plugs into a clip (which is included) that is installed onto the existing 68000 processor on the logic board. Software installation consists of dragging one INIT (System Extension) from the accompanying Start-up disk to your System Folder.
